I have been breeding dogs since 1975; German Shepherds for 16 years and Briards since 1990.
I only breed occasionally, with a lot of thought having gone into my breeding program, and puppies are always raised in my house.
When I have a litter, all my energies are devoted to raising those puppies. They get lots of love and socializaton. I develope a play area for them for stimulation from a stack of pillows to play 'king of the hill' to tunnels to go thru. Anything I can think of to deveolpe that inteligence.
They get to play with other household dogs and children are invited over to play with puppies.
A week or two before they leave, my puppies are crated at night by themselves so they can become acclimated to being alone in a crate. Before that time crates are left open for them to come and go just to get used to the crates. They usually love them and go in by themselves. Outdoor potty training is started at this time too although prior to this they go over on paper or puppy pads.
I strive for happy well adjusted puppies to go to their new homes.
Feel fre to call for more information.
